White River Forest Protection Association

A Charitable Washington Nonprofit Organization

Welcome to White River Forest Protection Association!

Our volunteer work partnering with the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest supplements their limited resources and continues having a positive impact in the SR 410 White River basin. Other organizations such as the Puyallup Tribe, the Sno-Jammers Snowmobile Club and others are actively supporting and working with us.

Our mission is to increase law enforcement, restore damaged forest locations and improve safety monitoring of recreation activity sites.

We are making a difference

Although illegal and unsafe shooting is still an ever-present problem, there is an obvious reduction in the number of dangerous public safety incidents, shooters using illegal incendiary targets, bullet riddled trash and toxic waste in our local national forest. Numerous site restoration projects we have accomplished and continue working on are returning many acres to historic family camping and a noticeable resurgence of other safe recreational forest activities.

Join us!

Our organization is inclusive of all forest user groups who safely use our public resources and respect the rights of others. With positive energy and patience, we seek out, educate and directly work with responsible target shooters to improve safe/legal locations for their use activity.
