In person training sessions

In-person field training orientation sessions, during which new volunteers are taken out for three hours and shown what we do, how we do it, and the areas we monitor in cooperation with the USFS. These are one-on-one encounters where we can assist new volunteers with processes and guidelines that comply with the USFS volunteer program and our standards. So far, we have trained or are currently training twelve new forest volunteers! This is a significant addition to our group, and we plan on completing more orientations in the coming month or so, just in time for the busy summer and fire season.
